A store listing carries one line that most readers skip: the developer name under the title. On 6 November 2026 this desk read it on three pages. The Google Play page of the app titled FxPro: Trading & Investing says FXPRO GROUP LIMITED. The Google Play page of FxPro Global: Trading Broker and the App Store page of FxPro: trade assistant both say Pro Global Ltd. This page sets the three side by side with the identifiers, links and dates that the pages give, and then reports what a search for “fxpro” returns in the India App Store. It states only what the pages show.

What the developer line is, and what it is not

On Google Play the developer is the account that published the app; on the App Store the same field is called the seller or provider. It is the name under which the app is distributed in that store, and it is what the store shows next to the install button. It is not a licence, it is not a statement about who holds your money and it is not a guarantee that two listings with the same brand in their titles come from the same company.

Here the field is the whole difference between the first listing and the other two. FXPRO GROUP LIMITED publishes the Play app titled FxPro: Trading & Investing. Pro Global Ltd publishes the Play app titled FxPro Global: Trading Broker and the App Store app titled FxPro: trade assistant. Nothing on the three pages explains the two names, and nothing on them says they are the same firm or different firms. The honest reading is that the listings leave the relationship unstated.

The identifiers behind the titles

A title can be copied; the identifier cannot be copied inside one store. Each Play page carries a package name: com.fxpro.direct.application for the first and com.fxpro.direct.app.global.pro for the second. The App Store page carries a bundle identifier, com.fxpro.direct.nocfd.app, and a numeric id, 1560667652, in its address. These are the identifiers of the three listings as read, and they are the safest thing to compare when you want to be sure you are looking at the same page again: search results change order, titles can be edited, the identifier stays.

The package name of the first Play listing and the leading part of the second share the text “com.fxpro.direct”; the App Store bundle identifier begins the same way. That is a resemblance in naming, noted here because it is visible, and it proves nothing about ownership.

A third name on the App Store page

The Information block of the App Store page carries a line that Google Play has no counterpart for: Copyright. For the app titled FxPro: trade assistant it reads “© 2022 FxPro UK Ltd.”. That is a third form of the name on the three pages: FXPRO GROUP LIMITED on the first listing, Pro Global Ltd on the second and on the App Store as provider, and FxPro UK Ltd. as the holder of the copyright. FxPro's own public text file names FxPro UK Limited among its regulated entities, which is close to the copyright holder's name; the pages do not say they are the same firm, and this site does not say so either.

A copyright line is a claim about who owns the app's text and images, dated by the year it gives. It is not the name of the firm that holds an account and it is not a statement about a licence. It is useful in the same way as the developer line: as one more fact about the listing that can be compared with what an account document says.

The links the developer gives

A Play page lets the developer attach a website, an e-mail address and a privacy-policy link. The first listing gives a website on fxpro.investments, an address at fxpro.com and a privacy policy on fxpro.com. The second gives a website on probroker.financial and an address at pro.group. The App Store page names no seller website in the data this site read and offers a privacy-policy link from its privacy block.

None of this is a criticism. It is the point of reading the page: the domains a developer attaches to a listing are a public fact you can compare with the domain of the broker's own site, which is fxpro.com, before you decide how far a listing's links should be trusted.

What the listings say about themselves

A plain word count on each description, so that the differences can be checked with a search on the store page.

Reading the description table

The table counts words in the description each listing gives of itself, as read on 6 November 2026. It is a substring match, nothing cleverer, and anyone can repeat it by pressing Ctrl+F on the store page. The result is that the three descriptions do not describe the same kind of app. The description under FxPro: trade assistant uses a form of the word trade (trade, trading, trader) 3 times and says in so many words that there are no in-app purchases; it has no mention of deposits, funds or a demo account. The two Play descriptions use such a form 18 and 24 times and both mention a demo and funding.

The App Store description opens: “The international company FxPro, the leading provider of analytical services in the financial markets, presents an advanced mobile application that is a must have for every trader!” and closes: “Download the FxPro information app for free now! There are no in-app purchases or monthly payments. All built-in services are freely available to you.” The broker's own text file lists the FxPro Mobile App, for iOS and Android, as including “includes CFD trading, account management, in-app deposits/withdrawals, economic calendar, and push notifications”. Whether the app under FxPro: trade assistant is that app, a companion to it or a different product is not stated on the page, and this site does not claim to know.

A search for “fxpro” in the India App Store

The App Store exposes a public search that anyone can query. Asked for “fxpro” in the India storefront on 6 November 2026, it returned 19 results; 4 of them have FxPro in the title (the spelling “Fx PRO” counted too); 2 of those 4 are published under a developer name other than Pro Global Ltd and FxPro Group Limited. This site does not name the other two developers: a different developer name is a fact about a listing, not a finding about a company, and a reader can run the same search.

What the count does show is why the developer line deserves a second look. When a brand name is typed into a store search, titles that contain it are not all published by the brand; the line under the title is how you tell them apart, and the identifiers above are how you make sure the page you return to is the page you read.

A routine a reader can repeat

Open the store page from a link you trust rather than from a search result. Read the developer name; if the title says FxPro and the name is not one you expect, stop and compare it with the account documents you are given when you open an account. Read the identifier. Read the date of the last update and the rating together with its count. Open the privacy block and read it as a declaration, not as an audit.

None of these steps needs an account, a document or a payment, and none of them tells you whether trading is suitable for you. They tell you which listing you are looking at.

Reader questions

Before you tap install

Do the Play and App Store listings name the same developer?

Not all three. On 6 November 2026 the Play app titled FxPro: Trading & Investing named FXPRO GROUP LIMITED; the Play app titled FxPro Global: Trading Broker and the App Store app titled FxPro: trade assistant named Pro Global Ltd.

Does a different developer name mean a listing is not the broker's?

Not by itself. The page does not say how two names relate. The developer line shows under which name an app is published, and the account documents show who holds an account.

Which regulated entities does FxPro name in its public text file?

FxPro UK Limited, FxPro Financial Services Limited and FxPro Global Markets Limited, in the file read on 6 November 2026. No developer name on the three listings is among them.

Why does the site not name the other developers in the search?

A different developer name is a fact about a listing, not a verdict on a company. The search is public and can be repeated.

Can this site tell me which app to install?

No. It reads public pages and compares them. It does not rank apps.

The trading account

An app listing is not an account

What these pages read is the store's side: the listing. Opening a live account is a separate step with the broker, with identity checks and, for money sent abroad from India, rules that sit outside any app. Read the broker page before you decide, and do not trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
